Gregory A. Hoffman, M.D., was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended high school at Wawasee Prep School where he graduated with highest distinction. His higher education includes a Bachelors of Arts in Preprofessional Studies from the University of Notre Dame. He then earned his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hoffman completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Penn State University-Hershey Medical Center. From there he completed his Spine Fellowship at the Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky. After his extensive educational endeavors, he chose to return to his hometown where he joined Ortho NorthEast (“ONE”), in 1983.
Dr. Hoffman is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is actively involved in many other organizations including the Scoliosis Research Society (an international forum), The Mid-American Orthopaedic Society, The Indiana Orthopaedic Society, The North American Spine Society and the Cervical Spine Society. Dr. Hoffman serves as a volunteer physician at the Matthew 25 Orthopaedic Clinic. He is a Chairperson of Fundraising for the Boy Scouts of America-Physicians Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Holy Cross College, Notre Dame Indiana and serves on the College of Science Council at Notre Dame.
Dr. Hoffman has been married to his wife Susanne for 40 years, and they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys reading, playing golf and listening to music.
