Robert O. Wuthrich, M.D., joined Orthopaedics Northeast to help meet SurgeryONE's growing anesthesiology requirements.
A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Wuthrich is a graduate of North Side High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University where he graduated with distinction in 1970. It was during his tenure as a research and development engineer for a leading orthopaedic device manufacturer that his interest in medicine was sparked. He received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1979 and served an internship with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Foundation the following year.
Dr. Wuthrich then completed residencies at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Foundation and the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo. The served as Chief Resident in Family Practice at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Foundation and Chief Resident in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Ohio. In addition, Dr. Wuthrich served as clinical instructor for the Family Practice Residency Program at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Wuthrich is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Anesthesiologists. He is also a member of the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the Indiana Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Pain Practice Management, the Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia and the International Association for the Study of Pain.
