David A. Goertzen, M.D., joined Orthopaedics Northeast in 1996 to provide trauma services to the growing practice.
Dr. Goertzen, who hails from Goessel, Kansas, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with honors from Bethel College in Newton, Kansas. He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After serving an internship at the Indiana University School of Medicine Hospital in Indianapolis, Dr. Goertzen remained to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He then completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dr. Goertzen is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His professional memberships include the Indiana Medical Association, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Fort Wayne Medical Society, among others.
