Jason J. Heisler, D.O.

Dr. Heisler joined Ortho Northeast (“ONE”) in 2008 and specializes in Trauma Surgery. This medical specialty is focused on providing rapid evaluation and highly specialized treatment for patients with life- or limb-threatening injuries, nonunions and malunions. Dr. Heisler is fellowship-trained in Orthopaedic Trauma.
Trauma injuries often are the consequence of motor vehicle collisions, falls, drowning, gunfire, burns or blunt assaults. Trauma is one of the nation's most serious health problems, and is the number-one killer of persons under the age of 40 in the United States.
Growing up in Marshall, Michigan made Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, an easy choice for undergraduate studies for Dr. Heisler. He was a cheerleader and involved in many campus activities, while he studied Exercise Science and Physiology. Following that, he decided to attend medical school at Michigan State’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he chose the specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery. He continued his education at Ingham Regional Medical Center/MSU where he completed his Internship and Residency. He became even more specialized by completing Fellowship Training in Orthopaedic Trauma at Orthopaedics Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Heisler met his wife Mindi while they were students at Michigan State University and they were both on the cheerleading squad. They have two sons, enjoy spending time with each other and frequently travel to Michigan to be with their extended family.
