Dr. William Geisert joined the Ortho NorthEast team in 2021. He practices general orthopaedic surgery with a focus on hip and knee replacement and treatment of fractures. As a general orthopedist, he finds great reward in treating a variety of musculoskeletal problems in a diverse patient population.
Raised in central Michigan, Dr. Geisert attended the University of Michigan with his sights set on a career in law. After various life events led him on a path to medicine, he became a paramedic, providing emergency medical services to several counties in Michigan and attending U of M to complete his pre-medical education. Dr. Geisert attended medical school at the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors. He underwent residency training at several hospitals in Michigan including the University of Michigan Health System, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and the VA hospital in Ann Arbor, and McLaren and Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
In his free time Dr. Geisert enjoys spending time with his family, watching Wolverine athletics, boating, golf, playing the guitar, and travel. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
