Meet Dr. Ghori
Ahmer Ghori, MD, is a board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon who joined the SpineONE team in 2016. His areas of special interest include cervical spine and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Ghori grew up in Cleveland and attended Miami University where he earned a Bachelor degree in Economics and Chemistry. He continued his education with medical school at the University of Michigan graduating with distinction in research. Dr. Ghori completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Harvard University Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He finished his training in Louisville, Kentucky at Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Orthopaedic Spine & Neurosurgery Spine.
Dr. Ghori’s father was a physician and has been his lifelong mentor. Growing up he saw the way his father made a difference in his patients’ lives and wanted to continue that family legacy. Dr. Ghori chose spine surgery as his sub-specialty because he found it to be highly interesting and challenging at the same time. He sees the difference he can make in the quality of life for someone with spine pathology as tremendously rewarding. His perspective is one of treating each patient’s care as if he were the patient, and tailoring the care accordingly. During your visit Dr. Ghori will make sure you understand the condition, and recommended treatment plan.
In his free time, Dr. Ghori enjoys running, hiking, traveling and spending time with his daughter.
