Dr. Johnson is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal tumors and complex joint reconstruction in patients of all ages. This includes bone and soft tissue sarcomas, benign bone and soft tissue tumors, and bony metastases from primary cancers. The treatment of musculoskeletal tumors often requires joint reconstruction ranging from primary joint replacement to the use of megaprosthesis.
In addition to treating musculoskeletal tumors, Dr. Johnson performs hip and knee replacement surgery due to arthritis, avascular necrosis, hip dysplasia, or other causes of degenerative joint disease. This includes revision surgery for failed hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Johnson completed medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency training at Michigan State University and a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is a member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, Connective Tissue Oncology Society, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented research at international conferences.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, three boys, and extended family. His favorite hobbies include sports, music, traveling, and cooking.
