Meet Dr. Hall

Dr. Jacob Hall is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes exclusively in hip and knee replacement, including primary and revision joint replacement. He has particular interests in direct anterior hip replacement and personalized knee replacement, with an emphasis on restoring each patient’s individual anatomy and alignment. He uses modern surgical technology to improve precision while tailoring each procedure to the individual patient and preserving muscles and soft tissues whenever possible. His practice also includes the evaluation and treatment of painful or failed joint replacements, including implant loosening, infection, and complex revision surgery.

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Hall earned his M.D. from Michigan State University, where he was named to both the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he received the Excellence in Orthopaedic Care Award. He finished his training with a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he received advanced subspecialty training in primary and revision hip and knee replacement. Coming from a family of construction workers and football players, Dr. Hall was drawn to joint replacement by the teamwork, effort, and craftsmanship required to do it well.

Dr. Hall is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Indiana Orthopaedic Society. He has presented research at orthopaedic meetings nationally and internationally and is committed to advocacy efforts aimed at ensuring Hoosiers maintain access to excellent orthopaedic care.

Outside of work, Dr. Hall enjoys downhill skiing, boating, lifting weights, IndyCar, and the highs and lows of rooting for the Michigan State Spartans. He and his wife, Rachel, also love traveling together and exploring their adopted home of Northeast Indiana.
