Meet Dr. Rosen

Dr. Michael Rosen is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He joined Orthopedics Northeast in 2026 and has been practicing in northern Indiana since 2019. He treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions resulting from injury, overuse, and arthritis, and specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including advanced shoulder and knee procedures and joint replacement.
 

He was raised in northern Michigan and earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He continued his education with medical school and residency at Michigan State University. Following residency, he completed his fellowship training in sports medicine with world-renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida, gaining advanced expertise in the care of professional and recreational athletes, complex sports-related injuries, and youth injury prevention.
 

Dr. Rosen is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

He has extensive experience with sports coverage and the care of athletes, having served as a team physician for numerous high schools, collegiate, and professional sports teams. His approach emphasizes individualized care, helping patients return safely and efficiently to their desired level of activity.
 

Outside of work, Dr. Rosen enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, supporting their activities and making the most of outdoor recreation, especially time on the lake.
