Meet Dr. Klitzman
Dr. Klitzman joined Ortho NorthEast (ONE) in 2025 as a member of the SportONE team. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, with a clinical focus on ACL reconstruction, meniscus injuries, and cartilage restoration in the knee. For shoulder conditions, his expertise includes rotator cuff and labral repairs, as well as surgical treatment for instability and impingement.
With extensive experience in sports medicine, Dr. Klitzman has worked alongside elite athletic organizations throughout his career. His background includes an internship with the Chicago Bulls, and serving as a manager for the University of Oklahoma Men’s Basketball team. He trained with team physicians for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Fire, and Northwestern University, and served as Assistant Team Physician for the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Houston Dynamo, and the University of Houston. He has also been a team physician for the University of Oklahoma Rugby Team and the Oklahoma City Redhawks.
Since 2011, Dr. Klitzman has worked as an Orthopaedic Consultant for IU Health Physicians and Riley Sports Medicine, providing care for multiple collegiate and high school programs in the Indianapolis area.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Klitzman is an avid runner and has completed several marathons. He enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his children’s cross country, track, baseball, and basketball teams.
