Dr. Tyler Keena, a board certified anesthesiologist, joined Ortho NorthEast (“ONE”) as a member of the SurgeryONE team in 2017.

Dr. Keena’s interest in medicine began in elementary school when his mother went back to school for her nursing degree.  He grew up in Fort Wayne, where he played baseball at Homestead High School and then went on to play Club Baseball at Indiana University-Bloomington.  After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, he earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

After medical school, he completed a residency in Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine.  He chose anesthesia as his specialty because he enjoys the physiology involved in anesthesia and the immediate feedback after providing a treatment.

In his spare time, Dr. Keena likes to exercise, play basketball, and spend time with his wife Katie and their dog, Cubbie.  He also enjoys watching sports especially the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and IU basketball and football.
